Citywide Worship Night
City Wide Worship Recap
📅 Thursday, May 7 · Spotify HQ, NYC
What a special night. All glory, honor, praise, and worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
There are moments you walk away from knowing something deeper happened. Not because of production value. Not because everything was polished. Not because anyone "crushed" an event.
But because the Holy Spirit was present.
And that's exactly what happened at our Citywide Worship Night. As I shared with many of our partners afterward: this is how revival starts. Not through hype. Not through platforms. Not through personalities. But when believers come together in humility to pray, worship, serve, and seek Jesus together.
"For one night, believers from across New York City gathered — not around one church, one ministry, or one brand — but around one name: Jesus Christ."
One Body
One of the most beautiful parts of the night was seeing so many different communities represented. Nine different ministries and faith-based communities came together to worship as one body — different backgrounds, different churches, different callings, different expressions, but one Spirit.
There was something deeply moving about looking around the room and realizing: the Church is alive in New York City. Not hidden. Not absent. Not silent. Worshiping in the middle of the city. Praying in the middle of the city. Declaring the name of Jesus — not behind closed doors, not on Sunday morning, but in a concert venue at Spotify HQ in the heart of Manhattan.
Acts 2:21
While praying over the event beforehand, one verse kept sitting heavily on my heart:
"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
— Acts 2:21
That's the mission. That's the invitation. That's the Gospel. Sometimes the first step toward Jesus is not walking into a church service — sometimes it's saying yes to a worship night, a conversation, an invitation from a friend. A gathering in a city where you suddenly realize you're not alone.
Why Worship Matters
1 · Worship is reverence
We close our eyes because we believe there is a God who hears us. We lift our hands because we believe there is a God greater than us. Worship is an act of faith.
2 · Worship is allegiance
When strangers gather together to worship Jesus, we affirm that our allegiance is not ultimately to status, politics, career, or anything this world offers. Our allegiance belongs to Christ. Worship is a declaration: Jesus is Lord.
3 · We are the Church
The Church is not just a building. Where believers gather in His name — whether in homes, parks, offices, rooftops, or corporate buildings — God is present. And He was present with us that night.
A Reminder For All of Us
We are all builders. Whether you lead a ministry, organize gatherings, volunteer behind the scenes, host dinners, run a prayer group at work, create art, or simply show up faithfully — God can use all of it.
But as we build, we have to keep one thing at the center: serving the Body of Christ. Not self-promotion. Not building our own kingdoms. Jesus. The Kingdom first. We have one Boss. When we truly operate that way, collaboration becomes easier. Humility becomes easier. Unity becomes possible.

Partner ERG Communities
Christians at Spotify · Christians at Google · Christians at Amazon · Christians at Meta
These ERG groups represent believers within major companies, creating space for faith, fellowship, and spiritual growth in the workplace. We're grateful for how each of these communities reflects the reality that Christians are not separate from culture, but actively present in the marketplace — participating, contributing, and representing Christ in the places shaping our world.
Thank you to every partner, volunteer, worship leader, prayer leader, ERG leader, ministry, and attendee who helped make this night possible. And thank you to everyone who showed up hungry for more of God.
Because of venue security, this was an intentionally limited-capacity gathering, and we know many people were unable to attend. Thank you for your grace. We absolutely plan to host more gatherings like this. And as we head toward New York Tech Week and prepare to celebrate our second anniversary this June — we're just getting started.
keep building,
keep serving,
keep worshiping,
and keep boldly showing up in your identity in Christ. ✦
