The New Christians*inTech

New look, same mission.

During New York Tech week in June 2024, Andy Choi threw a simple “Christians in Tech” meetup in Central Park. What started with a few seltzers and a blanket grew into something bigger.

It became clear that there was a deep desire for this kind of faith-based community in NYC.

A community that connects Christians with:

  • Events: From casual park meetups to online discussions, a welcoming space where Christians can build genuine friendships and explore faith together

  • Career Pathways: Discover ministries where your professional expertise and spiritual journey align

  • Faith in Action: Honest conversations about technology, ethics, and the future, empowering Christians to confidently bring their values into professional settings

This is the kind of community Christians*inTech strives to be.

So what’s new?

In true tech fashion, we’ve got some slick branding.

Introducing the New Christian*inTech Logo

The Asterisk: Small but Mighty

We’ve been working on something special, and we’re excited to finally share a glimpse of the new Christians*inTech identity.

We want to break it down and tell you about two key elements behind our new look:

You might see an asterisk (*) and think of a footnote, a correction, or a little “but wait, there’s more!” moment.

But for us, it’s something different.

We chose the asterisk as a symbol of connection, intersection, and faith in every space we show up in, from boardrooms to codebases to coffee meetups.

It reminds us that faith isn’t confined to one place—it moves, it innovates, and it meets us where we are.

The Colors: More Than Just a Pretty Palette

Purple has long been associated with royalty and as believers, we belong to the King. But for us, this color carries even deeper meaning. In the Bible, the veil of the temple (Matthew 27:51) was woven with purple, among other colors.

When Jesus died, that veil was torn, symbolizing that God’s presence was no longer distant but open to all.

Our purple represents that access—reminding us that faith moves with us, unrestricted.

The veil torn in two.

Event: Singles Game Night

Wednesday, February 19th Christians*inTech is hosting a game night.

This event is for Christians over 30 who want to meet other Christians.

Join us for a relaxed evening of board games, great conversation, and hopefully new connections that turn into something special at the swanky Lot 15 hotel lounge.

Note: The number of women signed up for this event has vastly exceeded the number of men. If you’re a single fella or you know a great Christian guy lookin’ for love, send them the link.

Christians*inTech is now sponsored by Lyonbird

What is Lyonbird? Lyonbird is a collective of believers, shaping the future where faith, art, and technology intertwine.
