What a New York Tech Week.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, volunteered, prayed, invited friends, carried boxes, checked people in, cleaned up trash, asked thoughtful questions, shared food, and made this week feel so full.

All praise and glory to God.

Last week, Christians*inTech turned two. ✌️

Two years ago, CIT started during New York Tech Week with a simple hope: create space. There wasn't really a faith-based presence at NY Tech Week yet, and we wondered if maybe 30 or 40 people would come together. Then 200 people showed up to a picnic in Central Park. Apparently, we were not the only ones wondering, "Where are the Christians in tech?"

Two years later, God continues to provide. And this past week was another reminder that Christians*inTech has never really been just about tech.

Tech is the anchor. It gives us a shared context. But the heart is our identity in Christ.

Christians in tech. Christians in startups. Christians in investing. Christians in design. Christians in nonprofits. Christians in the workplace. Christians in every corner of life.

Because our faith does not stay in one box. It does not only show up on Sundays. It shapes how we work, build, lead, create, serve, and love people. That's the heart behind this community.

NY Tech Week · The Mezzanine

On Thursday, we gathered at The Mezzanine for The Business of Christian Technology.

We explored what it means to build technology as Christians — not just apps with Bible verses on them, but products, platforms, companies, and organizations that are thoughtful, excellent, ethical, useful, and rooted in human flourishing.

We talked about business, mission, markets, money, investment, nonprofits, for-profits, and whether something can serve the Kingdom and still be profitable.

So, you know, very light networking-event material.

The night reminded us that this conversation is not theoretical anymore.

People are building. People are investing. People are asking better questions. People are wondering how their skills, resources, capital, creativity, and work can be stewarded for something beyond themselves.

That is exciting. And it is also a responsibility.

Our challenge is not to "do something for God" as if He needs us to complete His work. God is already moving. The invitation is to participate with Him — intentionally, faithfully, and with open hands.

2nd Anniversary · Central Park

On Sunday, we celebrated two years of Christians*inTech with a picnic in Central Park.

We were watching the weather all week like it was a spiritual discipline. It was supposed to rain. We prayed. And God gave us a beautiful day — including a tiny sprinkle that somehow felt more like free air conditioning than a problem.

People came, brought friends, shared food, played games, sat on blankets, and just hung out. But the most meaningful moment was worship.

We also had people walking by, asking what we were doing. And we got to simply say:

"This is a Christian community. Come join us."

That is what we hope Christians*inTech continues to be: a space of invitation.

A place where believers can show up fully. A place where non-believers and faith-curious friends can ask questions. A place where people can find community, and hopefully take steps deeper into relationship with Jesus, local churches, prayer, discipleship, and the broader body of Christ.

✦ Two Years In ✦

Two years in, we are grateful.

Grateful for everyone who has been here since the beginning. Grateful for everyone who just joined. Grateful for every volunteer, partner, church, ministry, donor, sponsor, and friend. Grateful that God keeps opening doors.

As we step into year three, our hope is simple:

Keep showing up.
Invite people in.
Use what God has given you with intention.
Find your people.
Get plugged into a local church.
Support the ministries and communities around you.
And keep asking how your work, gifts, and presence can participate in what God is already doing.

Thank you for two years.
