Grateful Shout‑Outs 🤝

Everything we do is powered by partners and volunteers who pour out their gifts to serve. I want to give shout-outs to some of our partners and volunteers who help bring CIT to life.

The Sugary Community has been a blessing as a partner—the duo DK Kim and Gary Su have helped produce events, lock in venues, and volunteer at events. They run a community of 20,000+ New Yorkers that gather around food, art, and culture, check them out.

Lyonbird — Our first sponsor, they have been such a blessing to have the resources we need to build and serve CIT.  Lyonbird, led by James Taing, is a collective of believers, shaping the future where faith, art, and technology intertwine.

Delaney — Our behind‑the‑scenes editor; by day she’s producing award‑winning narratives and commercials at Failure Island.

Jesse Aguilera — The design mind behind our branding; he also helps churches and ministries build beautiful identities. Reach out to Jesse if you or your church needs any branding and design work, check out his work on Instagram!

Katie — Our fearless community manager who runs every detail on prayer, thank you for keeping everything moving and growing. Make sure to give her a high-five the next time you see her.

And to every greeter, cooler‑carrier, and spontaneous worship‑leader—thank you for making CIT feel like family.

Why We Gather

Christians*inTech is a Jesus‑centered community that carries the hope of Christ into every corner of life, uniting believers and seekers at the intersection of faith, work, and technology.

Picnics and panels are fun—but the goal is deeper: to serve, to grow, and to model a kingdom where code, creativity, and compassion all answer to the same Lord.

Thank you for building with us. Here’s to more redemption stories and breakthrough ideas.

Grace & peace,

Andy + the CIT crew

P.S. Need prayer, have a testimony, or just want coffee? Reply anytime—real humans on the other side.

WHAT’S NEW AT CIT?

NEW EMAIL SERIES: THE KINGDOM DIRECTORY

Why are we doing this? Because gathering once a month is great—but discovering deeper friendship, discipleship, and partnership is even better. We’re not gatekeepers; we’re bridge‑builders.

Starting in May you’ll receive a bi‑weekly spotlight featuring:

Ministry Pods

Awesome faith events and gatherings are happening throughout NYC. There are so many awesome groups and events serving faithfully, and we want to get you plugged in.

We will do features on

  • Cool groups like Catalyze, a VC & founder network led by Maria Pope and team for believers building companies.

  • Events like Testimony Nights — Dana & Phil Delvecchio gather friends to share stories of God on the move.

  • Faith-based nonprofits like Global Cities — equipping professionals to see work as a redemptive mission.

  • Communities like FaithTech — a global tech community for Christ - to help people in the tech ecosystem find community and steward their skills to glorify God.

Faith‑Driven Startups & Businesses

We also want to feature faith-based start-ups and founders.

Start-ups like Faithly — founded by Alicia Lee is a “LinkedIn for pastors,” connecting leaders worldwide. Also connect you to Christian professionals like Delaney (Failure Island) and Esther Mun, who runs Call to Gather which create space to make and play.

Church Finder

And of course, we can’t forget about Sunday sabbath. NYC can feel like a revolving door; if you’re new or in transition, we’ll map congregations borough‑by‑borough so Sundays are less stressful.

EVENT RECAP

How We’re Redeeming the 9–5

The Redeeming the 9–5: Reimagining Faith & Work in Tech event dove headfirst into Gallup’s research on the “Great Detachment,” spotlighting a staggering disconnect:

  • Over 55% of employees don’t know what’s expected of them.

  • Over 70% feel little connection to their company’s mission.

Is God present in our work?

So many of us approach our 9–5 like it’s a separate part of life—maybe even a burden. But at our last Christians*inTech event, we were reminded that God meets us everywhere: from boardrooms to break rooms, coding sprints to creative studios.

Event Highlights

  • Open Conversations: We dove into the reality of Gallup’s “Great Detachment”—the staggering number of workers feeling unfulfilled or unsure about their purpose at work.

  • Panel Insights: Special thanks to Scott Crosby (Global Cities) and Bradford Jones, who both shared how they integrate faith into their decision-making and day-to-day operations.

  • Group Discussions: We challenged ourselves to see how God might use our careers as a platform for love, stewardship, and redemptive impact.

Looking to Go Deeper?

Let’s ask ourselves, How can we bring God’s light into our daily tasks?

Sometimes it’s shifting careers, sometimes it’s shifting our hearts, but it’s always leaning into the purpose God has placed within us.

If you have a passion project in mind or see a broken place in your industry you want to fix, the team at Global Cities can help you get started. Global Cities is a Christian nonprofit bringing together small networks of 5 to 8 people to tackle real-life industry problems. These are smaller tangible projects with a start and finish led by volunteers exploring how their work and industry can be redemptive.

Maybe you’re sensing a call to tackle some challenges in your field or simply want to explore new ways of integrating faith at work—Scott Crosby and his team are here to help you do just that.

You can email Scott directly at [email protected].
